New York Changed the Game for AEKL 🇺🇸⚡

AEKL Stage 4 is in the books — and New York gave us a race to remember. 🌧️⚡🏁
The fourth stage of the American E-Kart League took us to Oakland Valley Race Park (OVRP), New York, where challenging weather turned the weekend into one of the most memorable races of the 2026 AEKL season.

Before we talk about podiums, there are some people who deserve major recognition.
A huge thank you to the home team, Kinetix, and its leaders Ramsey Richardson and Bill Traut. The team strengthened its lineup with new drivers, brought serious numbers to the grid, and put in an enormous amount of work at its home track. Respect to the entire Kinetix crew. 👏

And another huge thank you goes to Tim Hannen, who kept everything moving through difficult conditions. Organizing a race weekend is never simple; doing it when the weather refuses to cooperate is another level. The result? The rain helped turn Stage 4 into an epic chapter of the 2026 AEKL calendar.

⚡ X4 CLASS
For the first time this season, the BSR-X4 drivers came to the grid in force. It was the biggest X4 presence we have seen in the championship so far, and the fight for the podium showed exactly why this class has so much potential.

Yamori came out on top after a hard-fought weekend, with Darius taking second and Parker completing the Stage 4 podium.

⚡ X5 CLASS
The X5 field was smaller this time, but the weekend still produced a new story.

Jacob Burns joined the electric karting championship for the first time and adapted quickly, delivering an impressive performance all the way through to the final and taking the victory on his AEKL debut. 🏆
For Kyler Carnes, a technical issue prevented him from fighting for the win in the final. Matthew Frost also faced technical trouble that prevented him from starting the final.
That's racing — especially when teams are pushing electric racing technology under demanding conditions.

From Last-Place Fightback to a Photo-Finish Battle

⚡ European Electric Karting League — Stage 3 brought serious racing to Kandava!
At Kandava Karting Track, Latvia, the BSR X5 PRO and BSR X5 OPEN classes delivered two very different battles — but both went right down to the final laps.
🇮🇹 BSR X5 PRO — Isabella takes it for Italy

Slovakia’s Michal Letovanec 🇸🇰 showed impressive speed throughout the heats and looked ready to fight for the Stage 3 victory.
But the final changed immediately. In the big corner on Lap 1, Michal and Stage 1 winner Tamu came together, forcing Michal to fight his way back from the rear of the field.

What followed was a great comeback. He recovered to P2 and finished just fractions of a second behind Isabella Rapezzi Dahl 🇮🇹, who held on under pressure to take the victory for Italy! 🏆

🔥 BSR X5 OPEN — Ušakovs holds off Štamers
The OPEN final became a close fight between Latvia’s Gustavs Ušakovs 🇱🇻 and Ralfs Štamers 🇱🇻. The gap stayed tight throughout, but Gustavs used his experience to protect the lead and bring home the Stage 3 win.

And there was another reason to celebrate: Joel Ededahl 🇸🇪 joined the championship for the first time and immediately reached the podium with P3. Great to see a Swedish driver join the electric racing grid — and show strong pace in his first event! 👏

From Grand Rapids to the AEKL Grid ⚡

My name is Zachary Christian, and this is my first time competing in the American Electric Karting League, representing my home karting center team, from Michigan. 🇺🇸⚡
Today, we’re at the new electric karting complex in Detroit, and I’m ready to see what I can do against the rest of the AEKL drivers.

Coming from rental karting, this is a completely different experience. The performance of the BSR-X5 electric racing kart is on another level — the acceleration, response and overall feeling behind the wheel make this a serious racing machine.

Now it’s time to put myself to the test. 🏁

Three Rounds Down. The Fight Continues in Venray. 🇳🇱

Three rounds of the European Electric Karting League are now complete — but the fight for championship points is far from over. ⚡🏁

Next stop: the Netherlands. 🇳🇱
Drivers are preparing for the upcoming round at Venray, one of the most interesting venues on the calendar. The karting circuit sits inside a NASCAR-style oval, creating a racing environment very different from a traditional karting venue.
