I have three daughters.

And one of the things I think about more and more as they grow is how little time we actually have with them in the seasons of life we imagine today.

There are so many things I want to experience with them.

I don’t want to wake up one day with the freedom to finally do them only to realise that I waited until the people I wanted to share them with had already built lives of their own.

I am not talking about taking reckless risks.

I am talking about starting to ask yourself an uncomfortable question:
What am I postponing right now that I will wish I had started sooner?

I want to tell you a story about my self-betrayal.

I’ve already shared here that my summer has been quite intense. And although I’ve genuinely enjoyed it - I love the feeling of growing so much more than standing still - it has also been very demanding.

Lately I caught myself forgetting some things that are really important to me. I was completely absent in everyday situations such as fitness trainings, conversations with my children, on calls and in other things I usually genuinely enjoy.

The last time I experienced this kind of state was during my corporate burnout.

At first I thought I was simply tired. And I was to some extent. But that wasn’t the whole story.

Yesterday, I sat down to look back at the last couple of months, and it made me sad. Because yes, I did it again. I betrayed myself.

I said yes to things I didn’t really want to do.
I allowed other people’s opinions to influence the way I saw myself.
I stopped doing even the minimal inner work that had become so important to me.

And after realizing all of this, all I wanted to do was pick myself up and shake myself. Because I’ve been avoiding the very things that once literally saved me.

I think there is one thing we don’t talk about enough - growing, healing and understanding yourself doesn’t mean you’ll never make the same mistakes again. Sometimes you know better and still lose yourself for a while.

Today I pushed myself to sit alone in silence for a little while. And the thing I had loved doing so much just a couple of months ago felt weird again 🥹

I know how easy it is to get so caught up in life that you don’t even notice you’re slowly disappearing from your own.

And I feel so so sorry for people who have been living in that state for years without seeing a way out, sometimes without even realizing that they’re in it.

At the same time I feel deeply grateful. Because this time, unlike during my corporate burnout, I know where to start and how to find my way back to myself.

That to me is also part of growth:
Not never losing yourself again. But learning to recognize it sooner and knowing how to come back.

For a long time I believed that wanting something different meant I wasn’t grateful for what I already had. I thought I needed a good enough reason, that I needed to be unhappy enough and exhausted enough before I was “allowed” to choose another path.

Because how could I leave something that from the outside looked successful, right? I had a stable career, significant experience and things achieved I once dreamed about. And yet, there was a feeling that there had to be more.

But instead of listening to that feeling I kept trying to convince myself that I should be satisfied.

Looking back, this is what I wish I had understood sooner:
You don’t have to wait until everything falls apart before you start creating something new.

You also don’t have to hate your current life to want a different one. You are allowed to appreciate what you have and still dream about what could be. Both things can exist at the same time.

I wish I had known that change didn’t have to come from a place of exhaustion. It could have come from curiosity, excitement and believing that something bigger was possible.

Maybe you need to hear this too:
The desire for more doesn’t mean that your current life is wrong. Sometimes it’s a proof that you are ready to grow.

If someone had shown me these photos a few years ago and told me “this is going to be your July one day”, I would’ve seriously questioned their grip on reality.

It wasn’t filled with perfect moments. There were hard days, many moments of doubt, things that didn’t go according to plan and many times when I questioned whether I could keep up with everything I had taken on. But that’s exactly why this month means so much to me.

I got to help people I genuinely care about. I stood in front of strangers and shared my story. I kept saying yes to opportunities my old self would’ve talked herself out of. I made memories with the people I love, laughed a lot, worked a lot and learned so much about myself and the people around me.

One thing I’ll remember most from this month is the support I received from people who didn’t have to give it. Nobody has to check in, send an encouraging message, or ask “how did everything go?” Yet some people chose to anyway. Those little moments reminded me how lucky I am to have them.

Looking through these photos, I don’t see a busy month. I see days that were actually lived. And to me that’s what matters most.

It’s easy to look at someone else’s highlight post and assume they just got lucky. What we rarely see are all the ordinary days that came before it. The evenings spent working instead of scrolling, the uncomfortable conversations, the fear, the consistency, even when it got freaking hard.

This July wasn’t created in July. It was built by every choice that came before it. And that’s probably my biggest reminder to myself today. The life I get to enjoy now is the result of decisions that weren’t always exciting in the moment, but turned out to be worth making anyway.

I genuinely hope everyone’s next July is so full of memories and little moments worth keeping that they find themselves smiling every time they scroll back through them.

Just a couple of years ago I thought I was just meeting people. Random people in random places. I didn’t even bother myself with the idea that there could be a meaning behind it all.

Now I know nothing happens without a reason. I truly believe there’s a magical sequence behind every little moment we get to experience.

They could’ve never messaged me.
I could’ve never replied.
We could’ve never agreed on that morning coffee back in March.
I could’ve been too scared to say yes.
Maybe if they had said one encouraging word less, I would’ve decided to skip this brave step.

Turns out, the sequence was just perfect for us to spend these beautiful few days together, surrounded by people who genuinely care.

Did you know life can feel magical when you start seeing that everything is happening for you, not to you? Feel the difference.

I am incredibly grateful and proud to have met these two beautiful souls. They probably don’t even realize what a huge step in my own growth they’ve become.

By creating this event, they also reminded me of something I so often forget, that working on your inner world is just as important as simply doing the things.

I really hope I’ve been able to pay it forward to someone else this weekend. Thank you, t r u e A U R A | Festival Latvia for believing in me 💛

I’ve been journaling a lot these past few days trying to clear my thoughts before the event where I’ll be speaking. And while writing, I remembered something from the very beginning of my journey.

My business and my personal growth started at exactly the same time. I joined a community that, honestly, I believe I’ll be a part of forever.

Those people fascinated me. They were genuinely happy. Grateful, even when life wasn’t easy. You know those people who are so positive you almost think they’re taking something illegal? 😁

They also lived differently. One thing they kept talking about was protecting your time. If you have a goal that truly matters, you have to make room for it. Which also means saying no to other things, at least for a while.

I remember thinking “absolutely not”. How dare someone tell me that my nights out and Netflix evenings had to be put on hold because my goals should come first?

Now I smile when I think about that version of me. Nobody forced me to change, the environment did.

Little by little, my priorities shifted, because I started becoming the person who naturally chose differently.

Today, my goals come first. My schedule is interrupted only by my kids if they need me, the gym and sometimes a date. And even then I’ll often move things around because I genuinely want to get back to work. Just because I love what I’m building.

I’ve realized there are no shortcuts. Every choice either moves me closer to the life I want or further away from it. A Netflix series isn’t “just a series”. A random night out isn’t “just one evening”. Sometimes they’re exactly what you need. But sometimes they’re simply a delay.

A few years ago, that sentence would’ve made me roll my eyes. Today, it simply feels true.

I sometimes feel like I’ll never find enough words to explain how much my life has changed over the past few summers.

What makes it even more meaningful is realizing that no one created this life for me. It came from my own brave, terrifying decisions.

You can only truly explain it to someone who has also chosen to walk in the “wrong” direction, the one people call risky, the one you’re often told to stay away from.

If I had kept myself safe and small, most of these summer memories would probably never have existed. At least not in the way I always dreamed of experiencing them.

So, goodbye, June 🤍

Thank you for:
- celebrating the birthdays of three of the most important women in my life
- experiencing my best business month so far, surrounded by the love of my business family
- wearing a flower crown and celebrating Midsummer
- dating and loving
- moving my body
- noticing the tiny beautiful moments around me, the ones that slipped past me just a few years ago because I never had a moment to stop
- realizing that exactly half of the year has already passed, and genuinely wishing fewer people would take that for granted 🙏

Here’s to making the second half of the year just as intentional ✨

I’ll take full responsibility for saying this:

What I consider to be one of the best decisions of my life would probably look completely irresponsible to many people.

Looking back, that decision taught me something important:
I can trust myself to make hard choices when my life is asking for change.

And that feels surprisingly calming ✨
