A Personal Testimony About Evangelist Ebuka Anozie Obi
As his junior brother, I have known Evangelist Ebuka Anozie Obi from my childhood. I remember when I was just about two or three years old, he was already deeply committed to attending Charismatic prayer fellowships at Christ the King Parish, Ubulu Ihejiofor, Orlu West LGA, Imo State, during the time of Rev. Father Odinkemere of Awo-Idemiri.
What touched me most was his dedication. During the rainy season, when there was no umbrella or proper shelter, he would sometimes take fresh plantain leaves—what we traditionally call mputede or mbuba une—and use them to cover his head from the rain, simply so he could make it to the fellowship and pray.
I was very young then, but those memories stayed with me. Looking back today, I can say that his commitment to God did not begin yesterday. He has been on this path of seeking God and serving Him from a very young age.
That is why, as his own people and as Igbo, let us put sentiments aside and support him wholeheartedly. Let us pray for him, encourage him, stand by him, and support him so that he can fulfil the purpose God has given him. People like him are rare and may come only once in a decade. When God gives us such a person among our own, we should cherish, support, and encourage him.
Even when the blessing does not reach you directly, it may reach your brother, sister, relative, friend, or community. Let us embrace our own, support him, pray for him, and allow him to continue the good work God has entrusted to him. 🙏❤️
