As we approach the final stretch, Hole 17 stands as one of Samanah’s most iconic—and intimidating—tests. A long Par 3 with water guarding the entire right side.

Don't be a hero. Unless the pin is tucked left, the "pro play" is to aim for the middle-left of this massive green. The Nicklaus design features subtle "collecting areas" that will guide a safe shot toward the center.

There's a reason Samanah hosts many professional tournaments. The closing holes are designed to separate the field through tactical precision, not just power.

Pro-Tip: The "Thinking Man’s" Strategy. 🧠⛳️

Jack Nicklaus once said, "The good Lord never drew a straight line." You’ll notice that at Samanah, the fairways rarely offer a direct path.

The Tip: On a Nicklaus Signature course, the widest part of the fairway isn't always the best place to be. Jack designs holes to reward the "difficult shot."

Notice how our fairway bunkers are placed to visually guide you toward the green—but also to force a choice. If you can move the ball (fade or draw) into the correct side of the landing area, you’ll be rewarded with a much easier angle into our well-protected greens.
