Patrick Mupanzi has now scored four league goals against Ekhaya FC across the last three meetings, proving to be a consistent threat against the Blantyre-based side.

Mupanzi was introduced in the 73rd minute, replacing attacking midfielder Auspicious Kadzongola as Creck made a tactical adjustment to attack more aggressively in the opponentโ€™s half.

Just eight minutes later, Mupanzi levelled the scores after receiving a killer pass from Steve Nkhata. He calmly beat Ekhaya goalkeeper Clever Mkungula to make it 2-2 before turning provider for Clever Chikwata, who scored the winning goal in Creckโ€™s dramatic 3-2 comeback.

Last season, Mupanzi also starred against Ekhaya, scoring a hat-trick in the second round of the league at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji as the Crecks won 4-2.

He was subsequently voted Player of the Match, marking his first-ever hat-trick for Creck Sporting during his debut season.

Four(4) goal contributions in the league so far, and one of them came in a dramatic comeback against Ekhaya. Mupanzi continues to make his impact count.

Creck Sporting Club Head Coach Ernest Mtawali says his players are beginning to understand his tactical approach after producing a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Ekhaya FC on Saturday.

Speaking during the post-match interview, Mtawali said the fighting spirit displayed in the second half is something the team had lacked in previous matches.

The coach stressed that the victory was no fluke, despite Ekhaya going into the break with a two-goal advantage. He praised his players for executing the tactical changes and showing resilience to turn the game around.

Mtawali believes the comeback has provided important positives that could help Creck avoid further setbacks as we continue the fight against relegation.

Mtawali also believes the week surrounding the Airtel Top 8 final will give his technical team enough time to work on the team's weaknesses before Creck travels to Chitipa for the final FDH Bank Premiership first-round fixture.
