Based on his academic background and extensive experience in international security, gained through his service as a military officer and assignments in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Moldova, Col. (Ret.) Dimitar Dimitrov, Ph.D. has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism and integrity throughout his decade of service with the OSCE. These qualities have been reflected consistently in every assignment and responsibility he has undertaken.
🤝 Throughout his OSCE journey, Dimitar worked primarily in eastern Ukraine with the OSCE SMM and in the Security Zone between Moldova and Transdniestria as a Military Member with the OSCE Mission to Moldova. In these assignments, including as our Mission representative in the Joint Control Comission, he played an active role in fostering constructive dialogue, strengthening partnerships and contributing to practical solutions to complex security challenges.
