The Prinz Eugen!
This one is sunk in Kwajalein Atoll, not in Bikini (why? watch the video!) and is one of the only 2 major german ships to have survived WWII, so a great historical wreck to visit.

Moving along with the Operation Crossroads wrecks! It is time to share the dives and history from the IJN Nagato (長門)...

It was from this iconic WWII warship, from where Admiral Yamamoto launched the attack on Pearl Harbor (Climb Mount Niitaka - NIITAKA-YAMA NOBORE - 新高山に登る) while it was the flagship of the imperial navy.

As usual, I tried to put a nice piece about the history of the ship to give good context to the video.

I had the opportunity to explore the iconic Operation Crossroads wrecks of Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands earlier this year and captured hours of footage. To make the most of it, I've decided to create a dedicated video series, which will go like this:
•⁠ ⁠Episode 0: This intro episode covers everything you need to know about diving these wrecks —how to get there, what to expect, and the essentials for a successful dive. I wanted to keep the individual wreck episodes focused, so all the logistical details are in this one. (Heads up, it's a solid 18 minutes long!)
•⁠ ⁠Individual Wreck Episodes: Each wreck gets its own spotlight in the series. (USS Saratoga, Nagato, Prinz Eugen, USS Apogon, USS Anderson, USS Lamson and USS Arkansas)
•⁠ ⁠Final Episode: we'll dive deep into the history of Operation Crossroads, separating it from Episode 0 to keep the focus clear and concise.
