Yesterday we spotted the gear of one of our sponsors - STODEUS Solar Paragliding Instruments - tucked into one of our photo comp submissions. Stodeus have generously supplied a 'BlueBip' solar bluetooth instant variometer which we'll be awarding to one lucky participant this week.

In the meantime, we hope the pilot who submitted the photo is enjoying yet another beautiful day of flying here in Krushevo, with the sounds of their Stodeus BlueBip helping them along the way!

At the Niviuk Fly Wide Open pilot progression at every level is celebrated, not just the task winners. Our opening shot is of the pilots who made goal for the first time ever on Tuesday, followed by that day's task winners in the three classes (female, leisure, overall).

Monday's conditions kept us on the ground, so we ran a series of sessions including competition scoring, flying tips and tricks, photography, and first-competition advice. Judging by the number of photo competition entries, it looks like there were plenty people enjoying exploring Krushevo too!

Despite a challenging forecast our local experts squeezed some flying out of the day, with almost 90 pilots taking to the skies around Krushevo. In the end the combination of wind and inversion stopped anyone making goal on this practice task, with Karl Ford making it furthest round the course. Well done Karl and all participants today!

It's the first day and our introductory briefing is underway, with fingers crossed that the weather will get us off to a flying start for our practice day.
