The 26th World Carp Fishing Championship in Mavrovo officially came to an end with last night’s closing ceremony.
It was an evening filled with smiles, applause and well-deserved celebrations as we presented the medals and trophies to the best individuals and national teams. These photos capture some of the special moments from the ceremony and the wonderful atmosphere we shared together.
First of all, congratulations to all the medal winners and, of course, a very special congratulations to Ukraine – the new World Champions! Your hard work, dedication, teamwork and excellent performance brought you to the top of the world. A truly well-deserved success!
We would also like to congratulate every team and every angler who took part in this championship. The final ranking is important, but it is not the only thing that matters. Throughout the competition, we saw great commitment, fair play, mutual respect and true sporting spirit from all participating nations.
A sincere thank you to everyone who travelled to Macedonia and became part of this special event. It was a great honour and pleasure to welcome you to Mavrovo and spend these unforgettable days together.
Organizing a World Championship is never an easy task, but seeing teams from so many countries gathered on the shores of Mavrovo Lake made every effort worthwhile.
Regardless of the final results, we sincerely hope that you will leave Macedonia satisfied with the championship, the organization, our country and our people, and that you will take home many good memories, new friendships and stories from Mavrovo.
