The winner of the “It Depends on You” climate change challenge for 2016 was team ReBot, which captivated the jury with a passionate and inspired presentation of an innovative solution for recycling and sorting plastic waste. Competing against eight other finalists selected from more than 60 submissions, ReBot won the first prize of USD 10,000 and a chance to transform its winning idea into a prototype.

KosTa Pechevski and his Eco - Logic team were inspired into the idea for making cycle parking places out of old metal barrels by the frustration of being unable to find parking spaces in which to keep his bicycle in Skopje. He was also passionate about recycling aspect as he loves the idea of reusing something so that is has a different use from its original function.
By day, he works in the NGO sector, which he believes really helped him develop and think of ideas to reduce carbon emissions and pollution in the country.
He began to think about climate change due to his dislike of the extreme heat of the Balkan summer, and the smoggy air pollution he experienced in winter, and wanted to find an easy way to emissions and the resulting pollution, especially as the majority of emissions are from the transportation sector.
If the idea becomes a success, he would like to turn it into a career, selling spaces to companies and creating a basic business model based on reusing.
