𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗮!

Mahalaya Amavasya marks the beginning of Devi Pada (a phase of the year considered favorable to access Devi, since the feminine aspects of the planet are more pronounced).

The Linga Bhairavi is used as the energy base to conduct certain processes for the deceased. There are two options, depending on the cause and time of death. Each involves a process that is conducted in the Linga Bhairavi, followed by a process at the Nirkaya Sthanam (an especially dedicated pond at Isha Yoga Center). At the end, a Prasad is prepared and given.

𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒂 can be done within a certain period of time after someone leaves the body. However, another process called 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒂 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊 can be done any time after death.

𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮

This is a ritual for the deceased, done by invoking Devi’s Grace within a particular time span after death. It brings a certain ease and pleasant transition for both natural and unnatural deaths.

𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶

This ritual can be performed any time after death, especially when the deadlines applicable for Kalabhairava Karma have passed. The ritual is conducted on Amavasya (new moon). It can be repeated every month or every year.

𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗴𝘂𝗿𝘂 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀.

Sadhguru: This has been very much a part of yogic culture – that if somebody dies and does not have the awareness to conduct his death properly, someone else does it for him. When somebody dies, as far as the person is concerned, he has just lost his body and everything he has known as life. He has also lost his discretionary mind. Because of this, he can only function by tendencies. Discretion means there is a choice. For instance, if somebody dies, people may become sad and miserable, but after a certain passage of time, they will employ their discretion: “There is no point just going on like this, let me get back to whatever I need to do.”

But somebody who is unable to employ his discretion will stay in that state for a long time, and his tendencies will multiply. If he had pleasant tendencies, they will snowball; if he had unpleasant tendencies, they will avalanche into something unpleasant.

So, at either that last moment or just after, a life can be touched in such a way that pleasantness will seep into it. Once even a drop of pleasantness is put in, this will become an ocean of pleasantness after some time because he has no discretion, he cannot stop it.
