Snooker is not just about potting balls.
Snooker ဆိုတာ ball ဝင်အောင်ရိုက်ရုံတင် မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
It is a game of control, planning, patience, and focus.
ထိန်းချုပ်မှု၊ အစီအစဉ်ချမှု၊ စိတ်ရှည်မှုနဲ့ အာရုံစိုက်မှုလိုတဲ့ ကစားနည်းတစ်ခုပါ။
What is the main goal in snooker?
Snooker ရဲ့ အဓိကရည်ရွယ်ချက်က ဘာလဲ။
The goal is to score more points than your opponent.
ရည်ရွယ်ချက်က ပြိုင်ဘက်ထက် points ပိုများအောင် ရယူဖို့ပါ။
Players score points by potting the correct balls in the correct order.
ကစားသမားတွေက မှန်ကန်တဲ့ ball တွေကို မှန်ကန်တဲ့အစဉ်အတိုင်း pot ဝင်အောင်ရိုက်ပြီး points ရယူပါတယ်။
Basic ball values in snooker:
Snooker ball တွေရဲ့ အခြေခံ point တန်ဖိုးများ —
Red ball = 1 point
Red ball = ၁ point
Yellow ball = 2 points
Yellow ball = ၂ points
Green ball = 3 points
Green ball = ၃ points
Brown ball = 4 points
Brown ball = ၄ points
Blue ball = 5 points
Blue ball = ၅ points
Pink ball = 6 points
Pink ball = ၆ points
Black ball = 7 points
Black ball = ၇ points
How do you play the balls?
Ball တွေကို ဘယ်လိုအစဉ်နဲ့ ကစားရမလဲ။
First, a player must pot a red ball.
အရင်ဆုံး ကစားသမားက red ball တစ်လုံးကို pot ဝင်အောင်ရိုက်ရပါမယ်။
After potting a red ball, the player can choose one colour ball.
Red ball ဝင်ပြီးရင် colour ball တစ်လုံးကို ရွေးပြီးရိုက်နိုင်ပါတယ်။
Then the player goes back to another red ball.
ပြီးရင် red ball နောက်တစ်လုံးကို ပြန်ရိုက်ရပါတယ်။
This continues until all red balls are finished.
Red ball အားလုံးကုန်တဲ့အထိ ဒီအစဉ်အတိုင်း ဆက်ကစားရပါတယ်။
After all red balls are gone, the colour balls must be potted in order.
Red ball အားလုံးကုန်သွားပြီးရင် colour ball တွေကို အစဉ်လိုက် pot ဝင်အောင်ရိုက်ရပါတယ်။
The order is yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, and black.
အစဉ်က yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
What is good snooker thinking?
Snooker မှာ ကောင်းမွန်တဲ့အတွေးအခေါ်ဆိုတာ ဘာလဲ။
A good player does not only think about the current shot.
ကစားသမားကောင်းတစ်ယောက်က လက်ရှိရိုက်ချက်တစ်ခုတည်းကိုပဲ မစဉ်းစားပါဘူး။
They also think about where the cue ball will stop for the next shot.
နောက်ရိုက်ချက်အတွက် cue ball ဘယ်နေရာမှာရပ်မလဲဆိုတာကိုပါ စဉ်းစားပါတယ်။
This is called cue ball control.
ဒါကို cue ball control လို့ခေါ်ပါတယ်။
Good cue ball control makes the next shot easier.
Cue ball control ကောင်းရင် နောက်ရိုက်ချက် ပိုလွယ်ကူစေပါတယ်။
Why is safety important?
Safety shot က ဘာကြောင့်အရေးကြီးလဲ။
Sometimes, the best shot is not to pot a ball.
တစ်ခါတလေ အကောင်းဆုံးရိုက်ချက်က ball ဝင်အောင်ရိုက်တာ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
The best shot may be to leave your opponent in a difficult position.
ပြိုင်ဘက်ကို ခက်ခဲတဲ့အနေအထားမှာထားနိုင်တာလည်း အကောင်းဆုံးရိုက်ချက်ဖြစ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။
This is called a safety shot.
ဒါကို safety shot လို့ခေါ်ပါတယ်။
Snooker is a smart game, not only a strong shot game.
Snooker ဆိုတာ အားနဲ့ရိုက်ရတဲ့ကစားနည်းသာမက ဉာဏ်နဲ့ကစားရတဲ့ကစားနည်းပါ။
Quick tip for beginners:
Beginner တွေအတွက် အကြံပြုချက် —
Do not always hit the ball hard.
Ball ကို အမြဲတမ်းအားပြင်းပြင်း မရိုက်ပါနဲ့။
Smooth and controlled shots are often better than powerful shots.
ညင်သာပြီး ထိန်းချုပ်နိုင်တဲ့ရိုက်ချက်တွေက အားပြင်းတဲ့ရိုက်ချက်တွေထက် ပိုကောင်းတတ်ပါတယ်။
Focus on aiming, cue action, and cue ball position.
ချိန်တာ၊ cue ရိုက်ပုံ၊ cue ball ရပ်မယ့်နေရာတွေကို အာရုံစိုက်ပါ။
