Guinea Conakry ended up being such a big discovery. Here I came back to the mountains and I had the first rain after a long time. But what most impressed me was the people's charm. Children wave you and call you as they spot you entering the village. After, they call the friends and all come together cheerfully to greet you like something cool is happening. I'm a humble person not used to so much praise. So I have to recognise sometimes I feel like a Hollywood star. And actually I can't find any better ambassador for Africa than them.
They always invite you to know the village and meet the people, ask you if you're hungry and always are ready for a chat.

The villages in the mountains are only connected by single tracks only accessible by foot or motorbike, and of course bicycles. There is always food sideways and a solar charging point for a half euro recharge.

It's very easy to find nice papaya, pineapple and mangos, fritters and sweet buns. There are plenty of water springs and rivers. Amazing after a hot cycling day.

Guinea Conakry ha acabat sent un descobriment meravellós. He tornat a les muntanyes i he tingut pluja de nou després de molt de temps.

Però el que més m'ha impressionat ha estat l'encant de les seves gents. Els nens et criden i et saluden quan et veuen entrant al poble, després criden als amics i et segueixen amb una gran festa d'acollida. Soc una persona humil, i no acostumada a tants elogis, pel que he de reconèixer que de vegades que em fa sentir com una estrella de cinema.
Després d'això sempre et conviden a conèixer el poble i conèixer la gent del poble, et conviden a menjar i xarren una estona.

Els pobles de la muntanya només estan connectats per sendes i pistes només accessibles a peu o amb moto, i per descomptat bicicletes. Sempre hi ha menjar als camins i un punt de càrrega solar que costa cinquanta cèntims d'euro per recàrrega.

Conreen principalment arrossos, palmeres per a oli i fruites.
Ho han moltes fonts i rierols que van de meravella per a refrescar-se després d'un dia de calor.

Wreck of the Navy Armas ferry on the shore of Tarfaya, I heard some news about the line reopen, apparently earlier than everyone is expecting. It would be awesome to connect Fuerteventura and Tarfaya by ferry. Hope for the best!

After one month cycling I have experienced the typical ups and downs of travel by bicycle, feeling at some points very good fiscally and feeling exhausted at another, this is just the beginning, nothing not normal. The regular step of getting yourself out of routine at home and riding everyday. After this month however it's a lot easier to step on the bike, carry the usual everyday tasks, spending time seated on the bicycle and visiting places and the people I encounter, In Morocco this is a must, everyone is ready for a conversation, a cup of tea or coffee, and some food. Here the "modernization" is hitting strong and some places you feel you are in any European country, some other not, rural and quiet villages are one of the second, the people leave with little but leave decently, work hard and care for their houses and family. The palm trees and little water flows and oasis next to the adobe buildings will make you feel so irreal that you will be thinking you are in a dream or the 1001 night story has become real. Now I'm heading to the Sahara and then Mauritania where the lack of services will be challenging everything. The heating sun already hits strong but hopefully some tail wind will make it easier on the long road.
