A lot of time, money and effort was done by Kunsill Lokali Żejtun - Żejtun Local Council and people like Stephanie Fenech who work for the council, to make sure that youths have an area where they can spend their free time in a postive and healthy manner.

Yday we got to know that some youths vandalised an area close to the skatepark by "stalling" on rocks with their Scooters 🛴🛴 which resulted in the rocks being displaced and damaged, which will place a cost on the council to fix. Money that can be spent on better things such as the skatepark.

We just wanted to point out that these are the sort of acts that give our dear sports a bad name and as a result discourage council's like Zejtun to not invest in such sports because of this bad behaviour.

We encourage you not to stand by and just let it happen. In a friendly and respective manner, you can stop acts like this and explain why they shouldnt be doing what they are doing.

We are working hard to improve the stigma and the way people persive our sports but these sort of acts takes us a step back. So please, respect your community and its surrounding. You always have a choice, make it a positive one!

Kunsill Lokali Żejtun u nies bħal Stephanie Fenech li jaħdmu mal-kunsill, investu hafna hin, flus u sforz biex jiżguraw li ż-żgħażagħ ikollhom żona fejn ikunu jistgħu jqattgħu l-ħin liberu tagħhom b’mod pożittiv.

Il-birah sirna nafu li xi żgħażagħ vandalizzaw żona qrib l-iskatepark billi “stallaw” fuq bankina bl-Iskuters tagħhom 🛴🛴 li rriżulta li l-blat ġie spostat u mġarrab, li se jpoġġi spiża fuq il-kunsill biex jitranġa. Flus li jistgħu jintefqu fuq affarijiet aħjar bħall-iskatepark.

Ridna biss nirrimarkaw li dawn huma t-tip ta’ atti li jaghtu isem hazina lill-isports taghna u igel lill-kunsilli ohra bhal ta Zejtun biex ma jinvestux fpostijiet ghaz żgħażagħ.

Inħeġġukom biex meta taraw affarjiet hek, tiprovaw twaqfu dawn l atti bmod tajjeb u bla glied.

Qegħdin naħdmu ħafna biex intejbu l-istigma u l-mod kif in-nies jippersistiw fl-isports tagħna iżda dawn it-tip ta’ atti jeħodna pass lura. Allura jekk jogħġbokom, irrispettaw l-komunità taghkom u l-madwar. Dejjem għandek għażla, ghamila waħda pożittiva!
