how much you loved,
how gently you lived,
and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you." - Buddha

Yoga can guide us to create balance in every aspect of our life, in everything we think, feel and do. Using its various tools, we can establish a strong mental health, which enables us to maintain inner peace of mind regardless of outside circumstances.
Balancing internal factors and external factors is key to a healthy and fulfilling life.
Internal factors could be:
✨self reflection, emotions, feelings, thinking
✨meditation, concentration, going inwards, self-realization
✨being intuitive, relaxed, going with the flow
External factors could be:
✨Relationships, work, activities ✨Yamas, Niyamas, asana, pranayama
✨being forceful, fast, pushing, making
Yoga on and off the mat, is a beautiful interplay of discipline, practice, regulation, control, and surrender, letting go and giving in. Balancing out these factors allows us to flow harmoniously through the asanas, the yoga poses, and through life.
Yogic philosophy speaks of the three gunas, which are the three characteristics or qualities that exist in all things, including your body and mind. The gunas are the two opposing forces tamas (inertia) and raja (activity), which when in balance can bring us into a state of sattva (harmony, flow). These three qualities are in a constantly changing relationship with each other.
Balance out the opposing forces discipline and surrender, yin and yang, tamas, rajas and sattva, observe and reflect on what you need more of or when something is too much, and FLOW.
