We would like to thank every player who attended our trials. The effort, enthusiasm, and determination shown across both sessions made the selection process extremely competitive.

Every player has the opportunity to improve, and continued commitment, discipline, and a positive attitude will always be the most important qualities.

Our U14 coaching team proudly represented the academy by attending the MFA CPD workshop "Integration between Outfield and Goalkeeping Coaches During Training".

Led by Eric Steele (former England FA, Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers goalkeeping coach) alongside our Head of Goalkeeping - Matthew Towns, the session explored how greater collaboration between outfield and goalkeeping coaches can create more integrated, game-realistic training environments.

We're proud to see Zack Mifsud continue his development at Birkirkara FC Youth Academy for another season.

We are delighted to welcome Martha Spiteri to Birkirkara F.C. Youth Academy as our Academy Sports Psychology Practitioner.

Martha’s appointment marks an important milestone in the continued growth of our academy and represents the first step in our ambition to provide a truly holistic environment for every player. We firmly believe that player development extends far beyond the technical and tactical aspects of football, with mental wellbeing and psychological development playing an equally important role.

Throughout the season, Martha will work with our competitive team players, providing the support and guidance required to help them perform and develop both on and off the pitch. She will also support our academy coaches, recognising that investing in the wellbeing and development of our coaching staff is fundamental to creating the best possible environment for our players.

In addition, Martha will deliver sports psychology education sessions for parents, helping them better understand the psychological aspects of youth sport and how they can positively support their children’s development.

This appointment reflects our long-term vision of building an academy that develops not only better footballers, but better people. We are excited to have Martha join our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have across our academy.
