Our first IDC candidates from ‘Dive Deep Blue by ABC Diving’

IDC candidates have been progressing well through the training, including environmental awareness in our on-site pool!

They’ve now completed their preparation — and it’s time to move on to the next step: the Instructor Examination 👏

Really pleased to be putting the new classroom to good use after some late-night finishing touches.

Having enjoyed the Christmas celebrations, I would now like to share some very exciting news for the New Year.

From 1st January 2026, Dive Deep Blue Malta will be joining forces with ABC Diving.

While we plan to stay at the same location, the centre will benefit from some positive changes that will serve to enhance the diving support services that we provide to our divers.

So, what will the merger of the two centres mean for you:

We’re updating and refreshing the centre — all your current bookings and courses will continue as planned.

Familiar faces stay — Amy and I will still be here as part of the new team, myself in more of a consultancy role, while Amy, will continue as one of our instructors.

Even more diving opportunities — over time, with the combined strength and resources of Dive Deep Blue Malta and ABC Diving, we’ll be able to offer even more diver training courses, trips, and experiences for our divers.

We’re really excited about this next chapter and look forward to seeing you all back in the water with us in the coming year.

I am proud to announce that following our annual audit by the MOD Defence Diving Standards Team in November 2025, Dive Deep Blue Malta has again met the high standards required to be awarded our ComMAC status for 2026.

We can now look forward to continuing to provide diver training courses and diving support services for HM Forces Service Personnel when visiting Malta in the upcoming 2026 season.

During our recent annual ComMAC audit by the Defence Diving Safety Team I was very proud to receive a certificate as a nominee for the FORSEY_DIVING_SAFETY_AWARD_2025.
The certificate was presented to me in person by Defence Diving Team Members, Marc Sturch and Rosemary Lunn.
At Dive Deep Blue Malta, diver safety is and always will be the foundation that we build our business on so it extremely gratifying when this is appreciated and recognised in this way.

This past two weeks here at Dive Deep Blue Malta have been extremely busy but very enjoyable hosting a group of 15 SP from R Mon RE on Ex Maltese Trident.
Special thanks to Organizer Howard Tucket who together with fellow SADS Paul Rowlands and our instructor team managed to deliver 6 BSAC Ocean Diver courses in the first week while ensuring that the already qualified divers in the group also had the opportunity to progress at their level.
Week two was spent consolidating the diving for all with 4 days boat diving around the Maltese Islands.
It was fantastic two weeks with a great group that put lot of effort into achieving their diving goals while managing to have fun long the way.
Plans to return in 2026 are underway and we eagerly look forward to seeing you all back in Malta next year.
