Billiards Tournament 2025/26

The final between Jason Portelli and Joseph Agius came to an end after a very close and exciting battle.

It was Portelli who took the lead until halfway through the match with a score of 249-219, but a brilliant 41 break from Agius brought him right back into the game. From there, both players stayed close until the very end, with Agius reaching the 500-point mark first to secure his first victory in this competition.

A strong (4-1) victory for Shaun Sultana against Saviour Brignone.

Jason Portelli and Joseph Agius have reached the final of the Billiards Tournament after both winning their semi-final matches.

Agius secured his place in the final with a victory over Peter Bonnici, while Portelli defeated Emmanuel Grech to book his spot.

Portelli and Agius will now meet tomorrow at 3pm in the final, played on a best of 500 format.

Premier Division 2025/26

Premier was decided in the final game between Shaun Sultana and Joseph Attard

It was Sultana who took the early lead, but Attard made a strong comeback to win three consecutive frames and secure a 3–1 victory.

The Premier Division was held at Ghajnsielem Snooker Hall in collaboration with the Għajnsielem Local Council

Both players will meet again next week for the final competition of the season, the Ranking Top 16.

Veterans Category 2025/26

Emmanuel Grech has been crowned champion of the Veterans Category after an outstanding season, managing to win all of his matches during both the group stage and the championship rounds. A superb achievement throughout the competition.

Sam Sultana finished in second place after a strong campaign.

The Veterans Category is organised in collaboration with the Għajnsielem Local Council

First Division 2025/26

Congratulations to Shane Gallagher for winning the First Division title for the 2025/26 season. The championship category proved to be very competitive, with a close battle between Shane, Nicholas, and Marvic Camilleri throughout the season. In the end, Nicholas finished in second place.

With their strong performances this season, both Shane and Nicholas Attard have earned promotion to the Premier Division for the coming season.

The First Division is organised in collaboration with the Għajnsielem Local Council

Second Division 2025/26

Stefan Walthery had a strong season and managed to take the title unbeaten throughout the campaign.

Joshua Grech finished second, and both players will compete in the First Division next season.

The Second Division was held in collaboration with the Għajnsielem Local Council
