Għajnsielem FC is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Xavier Saliba to become the Club’s new Academy Head Coach.

Xavier holds a UEFA A Licence and brings with him valuable experience gained at both junior and senior levels of football. Throughout his coaching career, he has worked with San Ġwann FC, where he played an important role in the development of young players while also gaining experience within the senior team environment.

The Club is confident that Xavier’s knowledge, professionalism, and passion for youth development will be valuable assets to our Academy as we continue to strengthen our commitment to developing young talent and providing the best possible environment for our players.

We welcome Xavier to the Għajnsielem FC family and wish him every success in his new role.

Dan għaliex il-bidla relatata mal-limitu tal-plejers barranin kienet diġà ġiet approvata formalment waqt il-Laqgħa Ġenerali tal-Gozo Football Association li saret is-sena li għaddiet fis-17 ta’ Ġunju 2025, wara mozzjoni mressqa dakinhar mill-Gozo Football Association sabiex jiżdied in-numru ta’ plejers barranin fil-kampjonati Għawdxin.

Nixtiequ nirrimarkaw illi l-klabb tagħna, waqt il-Laqgħa Ġenerali tal-Gozo Football Association li saret s-sena li għaddiet fis-17 ta’ Ġunju 2025, kien rappreżentat mis-Segretarju u mill-President, li fil-mument li tressqet din il-mozzjoni mill-Gozo Football Association għażlu li jitilqu mil-laqgħa.

Dan għaliex li kemm il-President u kemm is-Segretarju huma tal-fehma li affarijiet ta’ importanza bħal din jiġu l-ewwel diskussi internament mal-membri kollha tal-kumitat, qabel jittieħed il-vot.

Għaldaqstant, kull referenza jew interpretazzjoni li tagħti x’tifhem illi d-deċiżjoni relatata maż-żieda fin-numru ta’ plejers barranin għal sitt plejers mill-istaġun 2026/2027 u għal seba’ plejers mill-istaġun 2027/2028 ittieħdet, ġiet diskussa għall-approvazzjoni jew approvata mill-klabb tagħna waqt il-laqgħa li saret nhar l-Erbgħa 20 ta’ Mejju 2026 hija kompletament inkorretta.
