The club, among the leaders in the local athletic scene, owes its existence to Fr Aidan Murray and Bro. Michael O'Meara of the Salesians School of St Patrick's, Sliema, way back in 1962. Being a boarding school, they used to give a lot of importance to sporting activities, among these athletics and in particular cross country racing. A huge well done to one of our athletes, Aurelio Schembri, who took part last Sunday in the Ryan Tonna 5K and completed the race in an excellent time of 18:22. ππββοΈ

A huge shout out to St.Patrickβs AC upcoming talent Iris Merle Camilleri on becoming Maltaβs overall female mountain running champion in a very close race to the finish.An amazing achievement at just 15 years of age.
This victory means Iris has qualified to the European Mountain Running Championships in Slovenia next month.
The daughter of one of Maltaβs best ever female long distance runners Giselle Camilleri,it seems the apple hasnβt fallen far from the tree.
