Evolve Badminton Academy

𝗣𝗘𝗚 & 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 🏸

The Peg & Play Singles sessions will commence this Friday 29th May 2026 and will run for up to 16 weeks, taking place every Friday from 18:30 to 20:00 at De La Salle College, Birgu.

Each week, players will be randomly assigned an opponent for their match. The league is open to everyone, regardless of skill level, with participants divided into divisions based on ability. Our aim is to provide a fun, friendly, and competitive environment on a weekly basis.

Players will accumulate points after each session, and at the end of the 16 weeks, medals will be awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers 🥇🥈🥉

Jeremy Gatt and Juan Casaru played brilliantly at the Dubrovnik Valamar Junior in Croatia this past weekend.

Jeremy delivered an impressive comeback in the Round of 64, overturning a one-set deficit to defeat Slovenia’s R. Strelec 21–23 in the decider. He continued his run into the Round of 32, where he faced the tournament’s 16th seed, L. Phan.

Juan encountered a challenging opening match against a strong Spanish opponent, and also teamed up for doubles where they took on a tough French pair. While the results didn’t fall their way, these matches provided valuable exposure and experience at a high level of European competition.

A commendable effort from both players. We are so proud of you! 👏

𝗘𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 🇬🇧

Accompanied by Coaches Matthew and Luke, our players Julia Camilleri and Matthias Vassallo have just taken part in an intensive 5-day training camp in Kilmarnock, Scotland. The camp was held between 29th April and 3rd May 2026.

The camp was packed with a variety of sessions; from hall training and weightlifting to beach workouts, fitness sessions, video analysis, and competitive team games. It was a truly well-rounded and enriching experience both on and off the court 🏸💪

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Emma Cook from Ayrshire Badminton Club for the incredibly warm welcome and for organising such a memorable and high-quality training camp 🫶Your dedication made this experience truly special for both our players and coaches.

A big thank you as well to Coaches Matthew and Luke for their continuous support, guidance, and for accompanying our players throughout this trip ♥️

Opportunities like these are invaluable and we’re proud to see our players growing, learning, and representing the Evolvers beyond our shores 💙

We are delighted to announce that Coach Anthony McDonald from England will once again be joining us for the Evolve Malta Summer International Camp 2026 🤩

For the fifth consecutive year, we are proud to welcome back Coach Anthony, a highly respected coach who brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a great sense of humour to every session. His extensive coaching experience across different levels allows players to improve their skills, build confidence and grow both on and off the court.

Our team and players are always looking forward to having him back, not only because of his professional knowledge, but also because of his natural ability to connect with athletes and create an enjoyable, motivating training environment. Anthony is also known for always going out of his way to support players, coaches, and parents in any way he can, making him a truly valued part of our camp family.
