Once again, massive congratulations to the Malta U18 Women’s National Team on winning GOLD at the FIBA U18 Women’s European Championship Division C 2026!

🏆 FIBA DIVISION C U18 WOMEN CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE! 🇲🇹🔥

Roderick Vella’s girls are the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket Division C Champions, producing a sensational display to defeat Cyprus 56-35 and bring the trophy home to Malta! 💪🏀

Malta set the tone from the opening tip with a defensive masterclass, holding Cyprus to just five points in the entire first half while storming into a commanding 24-5 halftime lead. From there, there was no looking back as the girls controlled the contest and sealed a famous victory.

The perfect ending came as captain Rebecca Fenech Pace proudly lifted the trophy, capping off an unforgettable campaign and writing another glorious chapter in Maltese basketball history. ❤️🤍🏆

Luxol Basketball Club would like to announce Peter Shoults as our Senior Men’s Head Coach.

Last Season Peter lead our teams to the U19 National Championship, U19 Division B League title, and Amateur League title.

Known for his passion for the game Peter will now lead our young Senior Men’s team in the top division, together with the Amateur league men and the U19 Luxol Bolt team.

Today we say thank you to our Senior Men’s Head Coach, Duncan Fenech, as he steps down from his role at Luxol Basketball.

A huge congratulations to Malta’s U16 Girls on being crowned FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C Champions, completing a flawless, unbeaten tournament and bringing home the country’s first-ever U16 Women’s European gold medal.

Luxol seniors coach Roderick Vella and the rest of the coaching staff , guided this incredible group throughout a perfect campaign. We are immensely proud to see one of our own leading Malta to such a historic achievement.
