We are very pleased to announce that after a 2 year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Raptorz Athletics youth school shall be reopening under the name Kids Athletic Development Academy as of October 2022 onwards, with ages ranging from 4 till 15 years old (split by age categories.)

More details shall be communicated in due course through our page (listed above) & FB group.

We are really looking forward to rebuild a beautiful youth sporting community with the aim to make young children & teenagers more involved in sports + lead an exemplary healthy lifestyle!

In just over 3 weeks time, The Fastest Events are back in action in collaboration with the Malta Marathon Organisers for the 2022/2023 season opener classic - the Attard 5k & Kids Run 2022.

Due to heavy road works, for this year the route will change however we are doing everything we can to keep it simple, flat & obviously lightning fast! 🔥

This race is part The Fastest Events Road Running League & is the 1st out of 7 of the MMO Hall of Fame General Classification.

Today, Athletics Maltaa has circulated an email to our Raptorz Athletics registered members (& which has been doing the rounds with the local running community also since gossip spreads faster than wild fire here in Malta) that the club has been permanently banned (without a possibility for an appeal) & that they should look onto for a new running club.

To counter the above & should we decide to pursue with AM's obligations, the club will restart a re-application process with Athletics Malta and go through the necessary channels in order to be reinstated right in time for the 2022/2023 season.

Since honesty and transparency always prevail, the reason why the club has been banned is because we (I in primis) failed to oblige to send administration documentation prerequistes to Athletics Malta.

Really & truly, it is not Athletics Malta, nor anyones business what a club holds in terms of financials & other sensitive material. As a citizen living in a democratic country, I have every right to disgaree with MA's statute (I am not even sure whether this the new executive committee had published the amended statute)

N.B. Fortunately enough, my road races are unaffected since they have been applied/registered under The Fastest Events & not under the club name, so looking forward in seeing everyone enjoying the amazing vibe, results & camaraderie we always have at our road racing events.

On a final note, my conscious is at peace knowing that I have done nothing wrong to harm the running community or commit any flagrant, dirty foul within our beloved sport. I always defended sport and put sport first and foremost in my agenda, no more - no less.

The club name Raptorz might be banned, but it will never cease to exist.

Congratulations to club member, Stefano Bugelli for the sterling performance at the Running Malta Solidarity Run 2022 clocking a 1:22'19" on a quite challenging route (130m total elevation) & a 2nd place finisher overall. 🏃‍♂️🥈🇲🇹

Stefano's journey has been nothing but inspirational, fighting a chronic leg injury that hindered him from running anything more than 7-8km. One year later, through hard work & smart training he is becoming a very prominent & established OCR athlete & a super promising distance road runner. 💟

Keep it up champion 🏆 you deserve all this & more 👏

Those who are vaccinated are very welcome to participate & are kindly requested to take a valid PCR test 3 days prior to race day & the negative test result presented on Saturday, 6th November at race registrations that shall be held at Teamsport Malta.
