🚨 🔔 It’s official! Motion Field is open! 🔔 🚨

We’re excited to announce that as from next Monday 29th May at 17:30 we’ll be holding weekly evening classes in our brand new fitness studio.

👨 👧 Here at Motion Field we’re a people first gym. Classes will be limited to a maximum of 7 to ensure we can give you all enough attention to help you focus on proper form and improve.

‼️ As this is our FIRST OFFICIAL CLASS we’ll be throwing in your first session for FREE ‼️

📣 Meet Margaret Seguna or as we all like to call her Maggie - the face behind Motion Field. 📣

Maggie is a 40 year old Senior Nurse, who is now happily married and enjoying the perfect work life balance.

Becoming a mother at 19 and working shift work she’s someone who can really relate to being ‘too busy’ for sport.

In her 20s she started to struggle with body dysmorphia and that’s when she decided to get fit. Luckily, she found a personal trainer who helped her fall in love with fitness and learnt to love her body.

As time went by, her passion only got stronger. She completed her first half marathon and even took up triathlon. For those asking that’s a multi sport event consisting of swimming, cycling and running. Race lengths vary from 1 hour events to 10 hours+ (over the years Maggie has competed in all).

In her 10 years+ of Triathlon racing, Maggie represented Malta at multiple international events. She also took home several national titles including Aquathlon, Duathlon and Middle Distance (that’s a 5 hour race…!) champion. All this while working 12 hour shifts… (yes it is possible).

Sport has enabled Maggie to travel the world and it’s also where she met some amazing friends, including her husband Joseph.

A few years ago Maggie decided to step away from the competitive racing scene. Sport is still a huge part of her life and she does enter the occasional race for fun. When she’s not working she’s usually exploring the trails with her husband and dogs, working out at their home studio or swimming with her friends.

She also enjoys good food, wine and the occasional tot of whisky. And this is exactly why she decided to start up Motion Field. Sport doesn’t have to be about constant sacrifice and discipline. Maggie has of course seen that side of things but she’s always tried to push for balance. Being fit should be fun and a chance to make friends. You need to put in the work but it’s also fine to have a drink every so often and still meet your goals.
