☀️ Learning, Laughing and Looking After Ourselves at Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp children recently took part in two fun and practical health sessions designed to build confidence and teach useful everyday skills.

The Malta Medical Students Association joined us for its “Beat the Burn” session, helping the children learn about sunscreen, hydration, sunburn and how to protect their skin throughout summer. 😎

A few days later, Dr Ramona Agius, a specialist in Family Medicine, led a hands-on First Aid session on managing nosebleeds and applying band-aids correctly. Each child brought along a soft toy or doll as their “patient”, making the experience both memorable and fun. 🩹🧸

At Marsa Sports Club, we believe a great summer camp is about more than just running around and having fun—although there is plenty of that too! It is also about raising confident, informed children who understand their bodies and know how to look after themselves, on the pitch, at the pool and beyond.

A big thank you to the MMSA volunteers and Dr Agius for giving our campers the chance to learn important skills in such an engaging way. 💛

🏆 A fantastic day of squash at the Sound Machine Squash Open!

More than 40 players took part in Saturday’s tournament at Marsa Sports Club, with a full day of competitive squash across the A, B, C and D Grade events.

Despite the summer heatwave, players were able to compete in comfort on the Club’s fully air-conditioned squash courts.

Special thanks to Sound Machine for its valued support, and to Robert Sultana and Mark Zammit, who organised and ran the tournament on behalf of the Marsa Sports Club Squash & Pickleball Section.

Next up is the Hotel Pjazza Merkanti International Marsa Sports Club Squash Open, taking place from 17 to 19 September. The tournament will feature a PSA Men’s Event, alongside Mixed A, B, C and D events, with a number of overseas players expected to compete.

🌈🎾 The Tennis Trade Ralph Asciak Rainbow Mixed Doubles Tournament returns this September

Choose your mixed doubles partner and get ready for a round-robin tournament played over three weeks at the Marsa Sports Club.

📅 Tournament dates:
14–17 September
21–24 September
28 September–1 October

🌧️ Backup dates in case of rained-off encounters: 5–8 October

🕖 Matches will be scheduled at 7:00pm or 8:30pm, with players generally competing once or twice per week across four playing dates.

The tournament is open to:
🎾 Paid-up Marsa Sports Club Tennis & Padel Section members
🎾 Juniors aged 14+ by the start of the tournament

💶 Entry fee: €15 per player
💡 Court lighting is included.

Players must register together as a mixed pair of the same level. Applications close on Sunday 30 August 2026.

🎾 Welcome to the Tennis & Padel Section Committee, Bradley

The Marsa Sports Club is pleased to announce that Bradley Callus has been co-opted onto the Tennis & Padel Section Committee.

Bradley’s appointment will further strengthen the Committee, with a particular focus on supporting the continued development and representation of Padel within the Section.

We welcome Bradley to the Committee, wish him every success in his new role and look forward to his contribution.

The Autumn Snooker Tournament 2026 will take place at Marsa Sports Club from 7 September to 25 October, bringing Snooker Section members together for a competitive tournament across multiple divisions.

With promotion and relegation between divisions, there is plenty to play for from the first match to the last.

☀️ This month marked the start of Summer Camp at Marsa Sports Club!

The Club has been full of energy as our young participants began a summer of sport, activities, new friendships and plenty of fun.

It has been great to see everyone settling in, getting involved and making the most of their time at the Club. We look forward to sharing more moments from Summer Camp over the coming weeks.
