We are saddened to hear about the passing of former MAAA president, Mr. Anthony Chircop.
Mr Chircop was the driving force for MAAA to hold high level international T&F competition in Malta especially European Team Championship 3rd league and was instrumental for the increased number of qualified Track&Field coaches in Malta when requesting such services from IAAF.
Our sincere condolences to his family during this difficult time.
May he rest in peace.

Our senior athletes achieved solid performances at the most awaited MAAA National Championships this weekend. 🏃♀
Nicole Gatt attained the 5th position overall in the Women’s 400m with a time of 1:01.34.
Jacob El Aida Chaffey managed to retain his title in both the Men’s 100m and 200m Final, breaking his own National U20 record in the 100m with a time of 10.74 and clocking 22.15 in the 200m, respectively.
Thomas Farrugia placed 22nd overall in the Men’s 100m Heats with a time of 12.35.
Andrea Bugeja placed 10th in the Men’s Semi-Finals with a personal best of 11.78.
Miguel Grixti placed 3rd overall in the Men’s Javelin with a throw of 40.20m.
Omar El Aida Chaffey placed 2nd overall in the Men’s High Jump with a personal best of 1.60m, 5th overall in the Men’s Javelin with a throw of 32.69m and 2nd overall in the Men’s Shot Put with a throw of 10.03m.

Great results from Challenge Meeting 3 last weekend with multiple season bests. ✨
Jacob El Aida Chaffey managed to win the 200m in 21.99 and tied for first place in the 100m with 10.85 both of which are season bests.
Miguel Grixti debuted his season with a win in the Javelin throw with a throw of 41.31m.
Graziano Geremia managed to run a 55.36 in the 400m placing 7th overall.
We are very excited for next week's National Championships and are confident that our athletes will do their utmost to show off their best performances. 🙏
