I've punctured. I noticed that my bike was handling strangely a few minutes ago but I muscled onwards to a farmhouse just a bit up the road. There are two streetlights here which would help me see what I'm doing while I change my inner tube; plus there is a spacious opening here so traffic wouldn't be buzzing by while I fiddle with the tire levers. This weekend marked the first time I struggled with a full-blown Rheumatoid flare up. It has been terrifying not in the pain itself; but in the way you can see your life having to change in ways unexpected. A few hours before the flare up struck I decided that my scheduled run was going to be a trail run - so I laced up my favourite trail shoes and went out on a route which I had ran and hiked many times before.
