RYAN BUGEJA WINS THE MSSF TRAP COMPETITION 50+50+25 (2-2026)

Ryan Bugeja claimed the MSSF Trap Competition 50+50+25 (2-2026) which was held at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club.
Gianluca Chetcuti and Brian Galea finished their competition in second and third place overall.
With the score of 121/125 Bugeja achieved the MSSF minimum qualifying score (MQS) and so did Chetcuti and Galea who both scored 117/125.
At the start of the competition, all participants shot at 50 targets and the 12 athletes with the best scores advanced to compete on another 50 targets. The rest of the shooters were eliminated.
After 100 targets the 6 shooters with the lowest score got eliminated and the top 6 athletes advanced and shot at another 25 targets.

James Galea was the overall winner of the MSSF Trap Competition 50+50+25 (1-2026)
William Chetcuti finished in second and Brian Galea ended his competition in third place overall.
James Galea and William Chetcuti both achieved the MSSF minimum qualifying score (MQS), with the scores of 118/125 and 117/125 respectively.
Throughout this year, the Malta Shooting Sport Federation will organise 5 Trap events of this kind, where the top 6 athletes of the day will shoot at a maximum of 125 targets plus possible shoot-offs.
At the start of the competition, all participants shoot at 50 targets and the 12 athletes with the best scores advance to compete on another 50 targets. The rest of the shooters will become eliminated.
After 100 targets the 6 shooters with the lowest score get eliminated and the top 6 athletes shoot advance and shoot at another 25 targets.

LIAM SCIBERRAS WINS THE MSSF S***T GRAND PRIX 2026

Liam Sciberras claimed the MSSF S***t Grand Prix 2026.
Andre Cassar and Mikaela Galea finished in the second and third place overall.
This event was also the 5th Selection Shoot of the season.
The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualifying scores were; SCIBERRAS Liam who made it through with the score of 116/125, CASSAR Andre 114/125, GATT David 106/125, FARRUGIA Clive hit 104/125, GALEA Mikaela managed 94/125, and BUTTIGIEG Jamie shot 87/125.

Roderick Vella won the Tazza JUM IL-HADDIEM DTL 2026

The first edition of Jum il-Haddiem in the DTL Discipline was won by shooter Roderick Vella who achieved a score of 291 points and 98 hits. This event was organised at the Bidnija Ranges, where the participants shot at 100 targets.
The overall second place was won by Martin Xuereb who achieved a score of 285 points and 96 hits. The overall third place was decided by means of a shoot-off between Clifton Coleiro and Dennis Grech, after both competitors concluded the competition tied on 283 points. The shoot-off was won by Dennis Grech.

GIANLUCA CHETCUTI WINS THE MSSF TRAP GRAND PRIX 2026

Gianluca Chetcuti claimed the top spot on the podium as he won the MSSF Trap Grand Prix 2026.
Emmanuel Bugeja won the silver medal and Simone Apostolico (ITA) secured bronze.
This event was also the 5th Trap Selection Shoot of the season.

LIAM SCIBERRAS WINS THE 4th S***T SELECTION SHOOT (4/26)

Liam Sciberras claimed the 4th S***t Selection Shoot of the season with the score of 116/125 +2 shoot-off in qualification, followed by 48/60 in the final stages.
Andre Cassar came in second when he qualified with 116/125 +0 shoot-off and 47/60 in the final and David Gatt had to settle for third place overall with 106/125 and 37/50 in the final.

Newcomer Gordon Caruana had a very positive weekend as he managed to finish second, while Emmanuel Bugeja finished in third place overall.
This competition was organised over 2 days and it was held at Malta National Shooting Ranges.

Garnisi Won the DTL Competition in Aid of Dar il-Providenza

Last Sunday, a DTL competition in aid of Dar il-Providenza was held at the Bidnija Ranges, attracting a strong turnout of participants. The event was a success, with the total sum of €1,700 being raised for this noble cause.
The overall winner of the competition was Sean Garnisi, who achieved a score of 281 points and 95 hits.
The overall second and third places were decided by means of a shoot-off between Kendrick Micallef and Roderick Vella, after both competitors concluded the competition tied on 279 points. The shoot-off was won by Kendrick Micallef, who scored 73 points, while Roderick Vella scored 66 points.

James Galea Jr claimed the Queen Garage Tyre Service Challenge Cup which was held at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club.
Brain Galea placed in second while Emmanuel Bugeja had to settle for third place overall.
