Instead, contact Wildlife Rescue Team Malta (NTM) immediately on 9999 9505 and follow their instructions.**

Earlier today, while out at sea, we spotted a young turtle struggling close to the Xlendi shore after becoming entangled in marine litter. Of course, we stopped to help, carefully freeing it before watching it swim away again in its natural habitat🐢

This video is an important reminder of the harm that litter can cause to marine life. Even the smallest piece of waste can have devastating consequences for the beautiful creatures living in our seas.

Each and every one of us has a part to play in keeping not only our seas clean, but our beautiful little island of Gozo too. This is our home. It is part of who we are and a place we love dearly. It is our shared responsibility to protect and care for our natural environment, and all the living creatures that depend on it.

Whether here in Gozo, across the Maltese Islands or anywhere else in the world, we all have a responsibility to look after the planet that we, and so many beautiful creatures, call home 🌍💙
