From the most important place on Earth, below the water, we wish you the happiest of (belated) birthdays Sir David Attenborough!
Thank you for protecting our blue planet, for making friends with Peregrine falcons, for making us notice ants in ways we never had before, thank you for narrating the lives of hundreds of different marine species and for opening our eyes to the natural world.
Your voice will forever be part of our lives 💙
“After living for nearly 100 years on this planet, I now understand the most important place on Earth is not land, but at sea” - Sir David Attenborough

We would like to invite the diving community of Gozo (and Malta!) down to Xlendi for a chance to get together as the dive season for 2026 gets underway! Whether you are an instructor, casual diver, work in a dive centre, or even just interested in diving, we would love to welcome you to join! Thursday 14th May from 7pm in Above (level 5).
During the evening there will also be a talk delivered by marine biologist, Emily, who will explain how divers can be contributors towards conservation efforts in Malta and Gozo. From what to do if you see injured marine life, which local organisations to report species sightings to and more!
As dive professionals, the way we show up for our marine environment has ripple effects and can open the perspectives of every diver we take underwater. Join us in growing a dive community that comes together and supports the ocean we all love 🩵
Anyone who has a voucher from volunteering for our clean ups can also use these for drinks on the night!

April marks the seasonal start of our long-term Invasive Species monitoring project! We developed this monitoring project in collaboration with the Marine Ecology Research Group of the Uni of Malta.
🗓️Every month from April to October, our team goes out to various sites around Gozo.
🔬Over a few days we carry out surveys collecting data to monitor the spread and impact of invasive alien species.
This month manager, Sim, joined our Marine Biologist, Emily, to assist in the research dives!
