Hamrun Spartans Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mister Marco Amelia as the Club’s new Head Coach. 🇮🇹

A former FIFA World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, Amelia enjoyed a distinguished playing career, representing clubs including AC Milan, AS Livorno, Palermo, Genoa and Chelsea, while also earning international honours with the Italian national team.

Following his transition into coaching, Amelia has continued to develop his career from the technical area, bringing with him professionalism, leadership and a deep understanding of the game.

The Club is confident that Marco Amelia’s experience, ambition and winning mentality will prove invaluable as we continue to prepare for the upcoming Premier League season.

We extend our warm welcome to Marco and wishes him every success in his new role.

Hamrun Spartans Football Club announces that Mister Stefano Sanderra will step down from his role as Head Coach with immediate effect due to health reasons.

This decision has been reached following discussions between the Club and Mister Sanderra, with his health and wellbeing rightly taking priority.

Everyone at Hamrun Spartans would like to express their sincere gratitude for his work, leadership and contribution during his time with us.

We extend our heartfelt support to Stefano and wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Preparations for our 2026/27 campaign continue this evening as we take on Birżebbuġa St. Peter's FC in another exciting pre-season fixture! 💪
