Women's Festival of Sailing, Malta - Steering The Course

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞

Steering the Course is a World Sailing Initiative that took the world by storm. As part of the 2023 | Yachting Malta Race Week events, this year, the Royal Malta Yacht Club and Vikings Sailing Club, under the auspices of the Malta Sailing Federation, have teamed up to host the event which will be spread over a three-day period.

Briefing : Tuesday 23rd May 1700hrs - RMYC Boat Park
Sailing: Tuesday 23rd May 1730hrs - RMYC
Wednesday 24th May 1730hrs - RMYC
Thursday 25th May 1730hrs - RMYC

Sailing will take place inside Marsamxett Harbour, in the waters between the Royal Malta Yacht Club and Vikings Sailing Club.
A Social event will take place on the RMYC Terrace on Thursday 25th May immediately after sailing..

Team Entry: €30
Inexperienced Entry: €15

In light of further Government guidance regarding Covid-19 safety measures we regret to let you all know that we are postponing the Women's Sailing Festival - Steering the Course event until later in 2021.

We know lots of people would like to get out on the water, so we will announce new dates as soon as we are able to. Please continue to follow the page for more updates and we look forward to sailing with you soon.

The Women’s Festival of Sailing is for both junior and adult sailors.

We want to introduce you to this incredible sport and give women the opportunity to helm different types of boats so you can get confident at sailing. Sessions are being run after work hours so you can get out on the water after a day in the office and do something different with your evening.

Do you want to try sailing but didn’t know where to start? Join us for the Women’s Festival of Sailing at Royal Malta Yacht Club, 25th-27th May!

We will be running 3 evening sailing sessions so that you can sail a range of different boats, find out which one you love and get out on the water, all under our supervision and with coach boat support.

Each session has a suggested donation of EUR10 to participate, which will be 100% donated to the The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
