π₯π₯ KAF MALTA β NEW SEASON 2026/27 STARTING THIS OCTOBER! π₯π₯
A new season is almost here, and we have lots of exciting plans ahead for our KAF Malta family!
This October we return to the mats ready for another action-packed season of training, learning, competition and personal growth.
π‘οΈ One of the biggest developments will be the official launch of our new juniors initiative:
βSTAND UP, SAY NO!β
Our Youth Safeguarding & Anti-Bullying Program, using martial arts to help our youngsters develop the confidence and awareness to stand up against bullying, peer pressure, drugs and violence, while also teaching them the importance of respect, responsibility and never becoming the bully themselves.
But that's only the beginning!
π₯ Local competitions
π International competitions abroad
π₯ Special workshops with guest instructors
πͺ Training camps
π New challenges and opportunities for our juniors and seniors.
π Kempo β’ Karate β’ Kickboxing β’ K-1 β’ MMA β’ Self-Defence β’ Grappling β’ Weapons β’ Kata
β¦and plenty more throughout the season!
At KAF Malta, martial arts is about much more than collecting belts, medals or trophies. It's about discipline, confidence, respect, resilience and becoming stronger both on and off the mats.
Some will train for competition. Some will train for fitness and self-defence. Others simply want to challenge themselves and become better than they were yesterday. There is a place for everyone on our team.
π₯ New season. New goals. New challenges.
π₯ Real skills. Real confidence. Real life.
We start again this OCTOBER!

π₯π¬ MORE THAN JUST MARTIAL ARTS JUNIORS SUMMER CAMP
Yesterday we had an amazing time with our juniors during our KAF Malta Summer Camp Movie Night! πΏπ₯
We showed the kids the 1992 martial arts classic Sidekicks, starring Chuck Norris.
But this wasn't just about watching a movie and having fun.
Sidekicks tells the story of a young boy who is bullied, laughed at and struggles to be accepted by his classmates. Through martial arts, he gradually develops self-esteem, confidence and the courage to overcome his fears.
Before the movie, we sat down with our juniors and discussed bullying and what it means to them. The interaction was extremely positive, and naturally they all agreed on one thing:
Nobody wants to be bullied.
But we also explained something equally important:
π It works both ways.
If we don't want others to bully, humiliate or exclude us, then we must make sure we never become the bully ourselves.
Martial arts isn't simply about learning how to punch, kick or defend yourself. It's about learning when not to fight, respecting others, standing up for yourself and others, developing confidence without arrogance, and understanding the responsibility that comes with the skills we learn.
These are exactly the values behind our βStand Up, Say No!β Youth Safeguarding Program, using martial arts as a tool to help young people deal with real life challenges such as bullying, peer pressure, violence and other negative influences.
The popcorn eventually disappears. πΏ
The movie eventually ends. π¬
But hopefully, the lesson stays with them. π₯β€οΈ

π‘οΈ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT π£
STAND UP, SAY NO! π‘οΈ
Youth Safeguarding & Resilience Programme
π₯ Martial arts should prepare children for more than what happens on the mats. It should help prepare them for life.
For many years we have incorporated awareness, discipline, confidence, self-control and personal safety into the way we teach our juniors.
These concepts are not new to our Academy. They have always formed an important part of our teaching.
Today, however, we are proud to give them an official identity and place them at the forefront of our junior martial arts programme.
π‘οΈ STAND UP, SAY NO!
Our Youth Safeguarding & Resilience Programme will use martial arts, education and controlled scenario-based training to help young people better understand and deal with real-life challenges such as:
πΉ Bullying and intimidation
πΉ Peer pressure
πΉ Drugs and harmful influences
πΉ Verbal confrontation and aggression
πΉ Personal boundaries
πΉ Recognising potentially dangerous situations
πΉ Making responsible decisions
πΉ Knowing when to walk away
πΉ Knowing when and how to seek help
πΉ Personal safety and basic self-defence
β οΈ SELF-DEFENCE DOESN'T START WITH FIGHTING.
It starts with awareness.
It means recognising danger before it develops, making good decisions, controlling emotions, avoiding unnecessary confrontation and having the confidence to speak up or seek help.
Physical self-defence is important, but it should always be a last resort.
We want our juniors to understand that being strong doesn't mean looking for a fight.
True strength is having the confidence, courage and self-control to make the right decision.
π§ PREVENTION β’ AWARENESS β’ RESILIENCE β’ PRACTICAL SKILLS
We cannot protect our children from every difficult situation they may encounter as they grow.
But we can prepare them.
We can teach them to recognise danger.
We can teach them to stand up for themselves and others.
We can teach them to resist negative peer pressure.
We can give them the confidence to SAY NO.
And we can teach them when it is time to speak to a parent, teacher, instructor or another trusted adult.
This is why we are officially placing βStand Up, Say No!β at the heart of our junior programme and making it a showcase of what our approach to martial arts represents.
We are not changing what we have been teaching for years.
We are strengthening it, giving it an official identity and taking it further.
Our aim is not simply to develop better martial artists.
π₯ We want to help develop stronger, safer, more confident and responsible young people.
Because ultimately, martial arts is not only about preparing someone for a fight.
It is about preparing them for life.

Air conditioning and cooling system may slightly cool down the temperature... but nothing can cool the fire, determination, and fighting spirit of this team. π₯π₯π₯
Every session, every drop of sweat, and every challenge faced brings us one step closer to becoming stronger, faster, and better than yesterday.
Proud of this incredible group. Keep pushing your limits, stay hungry, and never lose that fire.
