"This game gives the player a feeling of power related to the speed of the wheel and gives the opportunity to discover a fantastic discipline that can mingle with fascinating mystical night scenery and can be especially played freely without any rules, for fun and freestyle" explained Nicolas with enthusiasm. This passion has allowed him to introduce the sport and leisure in the Southern Hemisphere before the other great nations of South and places Mauritius, very popular among German’s Heart, as the first partner in the adventure of Speedminton before Brazil South Africa and Australia. Today CONIC SPORTS represents the Brand Speedminton® in Mauritius, Reunion, Rodrigues and Seychelles. Since 2009 the adventure has evolved in groups of players and an Open Day was held at the University of Mauritius and also in Private Schools, for instance Ecole du Nord. The first club, Quatre-Bornes Speed Badminton Club was born through another great passionate player in the name of Sebastien Jauffret who has always combined his efforts to the growth of Speed Badminton Mauritius. 3 Clubs now exist including the University and Vacoas Speed Badminton Club, which will soon be followed by two other clubs: Savannah and the North. Speed Badminton Opens and Exchanges have increased since 2010.
