We ran. We walked. We laughed. We showed up. 🏃♀️
Today was Fitlife’s first ever Run Club — and the turnout blew us away. The parking lot felt like a block party: regulars next to first-timers, marathon trainers next to people who hadn’t run in years. Nobody noticed the difference, because that was the whole point.
This wasn’t about splits or PRs. It was about showing up, saying hi to a neighbour, and moving because it feels good. Lots of laughter at the start line and that unmistakable buzz of a community meeting itself for the first time.
I didn’t start Fitlife to intimidate people into fitness — I started it because movement should feel like something you get to do, not something you have to do. Today proved that: a relaxed, welcoming space where “getting my steps in” and “training for a marathon” can happen in the same group, same pace, same Saturday.
If week one looked like this, we can’t wait to see where it goes. Next time — bring a friend, bring your kid, bring zero expectations. Just bring yourself.
See you at the start line. 🧡
With Much Appreciation
