Get ready to gain critical, life-saving skills for the wilderness! Our 3rd Batch of the Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is happening from June 25th to June 28th, 2025, right here at 7 Cascades, Mauritius! 🏞️

This intensive, hands-on training is designed to equip you for real-life scenarios in outdoor environments. More than 50% of the course time will be practical sessions, taking place outdoors—so be ready to get warm or wet!

The course meets ARETA guidelines and is a prerequisite for a Tourism Authority hiking guide permit.
It also meets WMA 2019 guidelines.

The WAFA -Wilderness Advanced First Aid Course Training will be run this year again by Vertical World Ltd in April 2020 .
This MQA registered course is designed for outdoor rescue professionals, trip leaders, and anyone involved in adventure related activities with a duty of care.
The WAFA is 48 hours long ( 6 days over 2 extended weekends) course that focuses on the management and treatment of injuries in hard to access/wilderness places.
The course covers amongst others the following: STOP the bleed course, as per the Hartford convention, the ERC CPR course with defibrillator use and others.
Moreover, the WAFA course is in line with the new Tourist Guide Training requirements by the Tourism Authority of Mauritius with regards to criteria on safety and security, thus a Must training for all enterprises involved in outdoor activities.
Each participant obtains an Accredited Certificate upon successful completion of the assessments valid for one year and renewed every year.
