Working out is powerful.
But without releasing the fascia, the body often stays stuck in tension...

What is fascia? it is a connective tissue that create and support the structure of the body.

There are different ways to release fascia. What I find easiest to do on my own is using a foam roller or massage balls, combined with slow, controlled movements on common tight areas like the hamstrings, quads, IT band, and upper back.

-Move slowly β€” rushing doesn’t allow the tissue to release

-When you find a tender spot, pause and breathe for 30–60 seconds

-Keep the pressure at a β€œproductive discomfort”, never sharp pain

-Breathe deeply and relax the body around the area

-1–2 minutes per area is enough

Remember: Movement builds strength. Release creates space.
You need both for a body that feels good, not just strong.

Hope you try it and feel the benefits. If you need any help do send me a message, will be happy to help :)

Pilates helps reduce back pain by restoring proper alignment, strengthening the deep core muscles, and improving movement control.
Instead of overloading the lower back, the body learns to move with support, balance, and awareness.
When the deep core, breath, and posture work together, the spine is protected β€” not forced. I will be sharing exercises that will help you achieve this in my next post πŸ˜‰

Before Pilates, I was a Zumba teacher and a personal trainer for over 10 years. (Miss all my clients in Mauritius)πŸ₯°

I loved movement, energy, sweat, and helping people feel strong.

But Pilates changed the way I understand the body β€” completely.

I chose to train with Balanced Body in San Francisco, completing 350+ hours of education in Mat, Reformer, and Anatomy.
And what surprised me most wasn’t the exercises…
It was the depth of knowledge behind every single movement.

Pilates taught me why we move the way we do.
Which muscles initiate.
Which ones support.
Which ones tend to overwork.
And which ones often get ignored.

It also helped me understand lower back pain β€” something I personally struggled with after many years of sports, high impact, and repetitive loading.
A story so many people carry:
joint overuse, old injuries, compensation patterns, chronic discomfort.

Through Pilates, I learned how the spine, pelvis, breath, and deep stabilizers work together.
How movement can heal instead of exhaust.
How precision matters more than intensity.

That’s why I truly believe who you train with matters.

A properly trained Pilates instructor doesn’t just teach exercises β€”
they understand bodies, histories, limitations, and adaptations.

Behind a safe and effective Pilates session is:
β€’ extensive education
β€’ anatomy knowledge
β€’ hours of practice and observation
β€’ deep respect for the human body
β€’ lifelong learning

Pilates isn’t just movement.
It’s education through movement.

And that changed everything for me 🀍

New year. New energy.
Same you β€” just more aligned.

True growth comes from slowing down, listening inward, and nurturing mind, body, and soul.

Choosing better over more.
Better habits.
Better boundaries.
Better connections.

The past year has taught me as much about unlearning as it has about learning, and I’m carrying those lessons forward.

Trust your path. Invest in yourself.
Anything is possible πŸ’™βœ¨

I spent some time diving back into anatomy, and it felt so good to refresh my knowledge. In our field, staying curious and growing is essential. Every new layer of understanding helps me guide movement with more clarity and intention β€” especially now as I combine my experience as a personal fitness coach with Pilates 🀩

Pinch me, a dream once that seemed so far away is now reality πŸ’–

This past year has been a journey of dedication, discipline, and discovery. I spent countless hours studying, practicing, and truly living the Pilates method β€” and today, holding this diploma feels incredibly special.

Pilates is not a trend β€” it’s a tradition. Created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s, this method was designed to restore strength, control, and balance between the body and mind. I’m proud to continue this legacy πŸ™Œ

I had the amazing chance to stand here, at his original studio in New York that he opened with his wife Clara and appreciate the benefits they contributed to so many people around the world.

Thanks to for the support, encouragement and helping me test out πŸ™

This is just the beginning, and my goal is to continue evolving into a teacher who inspires and uplifts every life I have the chance to touch.
