The art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in Mauritius was first brought 4 years ago to the country by our club and from there gained popularity among Mauritians and spread over the entire island. Since then we have had many clubs merging with us
to obtain their licence in order to practice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. In 2013 we received the Pythagore Academy, which is a reputed BJJ Academy from France with Emmanuel Fernandez as head. It has several branches in different countries, including our neighbouring island Reunion. The reunion island Pythagore club has for Sensei Harry Serveaux who recently came to offer a 3 day workshop to our club. From there a partnership was made between both clubs and we are now known as Guerrilla Fight Team-Brazilian Jiu-jitsu/MMA club Pythagore Ile Maurice. Since then we are the only one in Mauritius to be authorized to teach Jiu-jitsu using the same methods as the “Pythagore Academy”. Besides Jiu-Jitsu our club also give lessons in self defence to help you protect yourself and your family against any violent incident in everyday life. These lessons are for all ages, and we really focus on helping you defend yourself in the most critical times. By putting you in circumstances and helping you focus, we help you remain calm in time of crisis and we help you overcome your fear. At our club you will receive the proper attention and formation for you to reach your ultimate goal. In choosing our club you will get the chance to train with reputed athletes of both national and international level and we will form you in order for you to reach your upmost potential. We will guide you to enhance your skills and motivations in order for you to reach your topmost best. Through intensive and precise training, you will climb up the ladder to international recognition. A complete fighter you will become and soon find “Triumph at our threshold”.
