🚤 Job Opportunity: Experienced Boat Skipper Wanted!

Are you passionate about the open sea and skilled at navigating vessels with confidence and care? We're looking for a reliable and experienced Boat Skipper to join our team and take the helm of our charter operations.

📍 Location: Trou-aux-Biches – Blue Water Diving Center
🕒 Employment Type: Full-time (with preliminary probation period)
💰 Salary: Competitive, based on experience

🌊 About the Role:
As our skipper, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our boats, ensuring unforgettable experiences for our guests. You'll lead with professionalism, maintain high safety standards, and bring a love for the ocean to every journey.

🧭 Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and navigate company vessels
• Ensure safety of passengers and compliance with maritime laws and regulations
• Moor and unmoor the boat from the anchorage point + dock and park the boat securely against the jetty,
• Assist in the transportation of diving tanks and other equipment between the diving center and the vessel.
• Support divers onboard, including providing basic assistance with gear.
• Maintain the seaworthiness, cleanliness, and overall condition of the vessel
• Monitor weather and sea conditions
• Be available during cyclonic warnings to transfer the boat to Port-Louis Harbour, remain onboard during cyclonic conditions if required, and return the vessel safely once conditions permit.
• Provide excellent customer service and local knowledge

⚓ Requirements:
• Valid skipper’s license
• Proven experience operating boats in coastal waters
• Strong knowledge of maritime safety and navigation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Customer’s orientated
• Punctual

🌟 Bonus Points For:
• First Aid and CPR certification (optional but preferred)
• Multilingual abilities
• Experience with diving or eco-tourism charters
• Local area knowledge
