IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL MAURITIAN ARMWRESTLERS

The World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) has officially reminded all athletes worldwide that only events approved by the recognized national federation are allowed.

Since we are the official WAF & AFA‑recognized structure in Mauritius, this means:

• Only events approved by us are considered official
• Participating in unapproved events can lead to suspensions of up to 4 years
• All Mauritian athletes must verify event approval through us before competing

This protects our athletes, our sport, and the integrity of Armwrestling Mauritius.

We continue to work closely with WAF and the African Armwrestling Federation to ensure every Mauritian athlete competes safely, legally, and proudly under our national banner. 🇲🇺💪

What started as a dream has become a national achievement.
Mauritius has officially made its mark at the Africa Armwrestling Championship 2026 and this medal haul is a victory for every Mauritian who believed in this sport.

When I brought armwrestling to Mauritius, this was the dream. Today, seeing our largest delegation fly out to the African Championship is a moment of pride for the entire Armwrestling Mauritius family.
