The MOC President Mr. Richard Papie, 2nd Vice-President Mr. Rajessen Desscann and Secretary General Mrs. Aarti Desscann had the pleasure of welcoming Grandmaster Hung Wai Wing, Advisor Coach in Taekwondo, for a cordial and constructive meeting this morning. Master Robert Meemeea was also present and contributed to the discussions.

The Mauritius Olympic Committee had the honour of welcoming distinguished guests to its headquarters this morning for a courtesy visit that set the perfect tone for what promises to be a landmark weekend of aquatic sport on our island.

MOC President Mr. Richard Papie and Secretary General Mrs. Aarti Desscann received Mr. Mohamed Diop, President of Africa Aquatics, Mr. Jace Naidoo, Secretary General of Africa Aquatics, and Ms. Doreen Tiborcz, MSF Member and World Aquatics Member β€” a delegation that represents the very heart of continental and global aquatics governance. 🌍

Discussions were wide-ranging, productive and forward-looking, with a particular focus on the successful organisation and hosting of two major events taking place this weekend at the beautiful setting of Mont Choisy: the Africa Aquatics Open Water Swimming Championships and the Africa Aquatics Zone 4 Championships.

This visit is a reflection of the growing and deepening relationship between the Mauritius Olympic Committee and Africa Aquatics β€” a partnership built on shared values, mutual respect and a collective commitment to elevating the standard of aquatic sport in our region. Together, we are building something lasting.
