They’re the gentle giants of the sea—and on August 30, we celebrate them.

The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is the largest fish in the ocean, yet one of the most peaceful. These spotted beauties roam tropical waters feeding on plankton, and if you're lucky enough to dive with one, it’s a moment you’ll never forget.

But whale sharks are endangered, and their survival depends on us.

Let’s use this day to raise awareness, protect their habitats, and keep our oceans thriving.
