Imagine if one single sport could actually help you add years to your life.

A large cardiovascular study following more than 8,500 people over about 25 years found that tennis players lived almost 10 years longer than people who did not exercise at all. Among all the sports they measured, tennis was the one most strongly linked with extra life expectancy, ahead of cycling, running, football and swimming.

Tennis does much more than just burn calories. It boosts your heart and lungs, trains coordination and balance, challenges your brain with decisions on every point, and keeps you socially connected with the person on the other side of the net. You run, you focus, you compete, you laugh, and for a while the stress of daily life fades into the background.

If you already play, this is one more reason to keep going. If you don’t play yet, maybe this is the little push you needed to try.

The ultimate goal of coaching kids is not only to make them learn and love tennis, it is to help them live their dreams. Ines came to us few years ago with a dream, she wanted to play tennis at a good level and compete. She was then a little girl with big dreams but low self confidence. Through hard work and perseverance, today she is flying across the ocean for an ITF/CAT junior U12 team event tournament in Maputo, Mozambique where she has been selected to make the team for Mauritius. It shall be her first international experience. Tennis Tribe wishes you all the best in the tournament. Enjoy every bit of it and give your best as usual.
