2026 is moving quickly — it already feels like it’s travelling at rocket-ship pace. Q1 complete. Financial year closed.

I’ve taken some time this weekend to step back and reflect — and it’s been a strong start to the year.

From a commercial perspective, there’s been good momentum, clear progress, and outcomes that reflect the level of focus applied — especially given how challenging things feel more broadly at the moment.

But what’s stood out most isn’t just the results — it’s how they’ve been achieved.

Over the past few months, I’ve been more deliberate in how I manage my time, energy, and attention.

Creating space to think.
Reducing noise.
Being more intentional about where I put my effort.

I’ve also placed more focus than ever on my physical health and mental fitness — not as something separate, but as a core part of how I perform day to day.

A recent break in Portugal really reinforced that.

Stepping away. Switching off properly. Creating distance from the day-to-day.

Not to escape it — but to return with more energy, clearer thinking, and a better way of operating.

Because, when done properly, creating real balance isn’t a trade-off — it’s what drives results.

It’s something I see a lot in the people I work with too.

Founders, business owners, senior leaders — people who are highly capable but often carrying a lot and running at full capacity.

And over time, that has an impact.

Not always obvious at first, but it shows up in clarity, decision-making, and energy.

That’s where performance starts to slip — not in a dramatic way, but through small amounts of friction that build over time.

The work I do is really about changing that.

Helping people create space, build energy, and operate in a way that allows them to perform at a high level consistently — not just in short bursts.

Because when you think clearly and have the energy to support it, everything else improves.

Going into Q2, my focus is simple — not doing more, but operating better.

New routine doesn’t happen without some handy triggers that can make the likelihood of it happing so much easier. The gym/fitness hack is a great example, it’s so easy to reverse the intention to go to the gym when you can find your gym gear!

There is a lot of mental noise in January.

New year, new you, resolutions, give this up, try something new, amazing for those who need a kick up the glutes to get going, but for some it applies pressure to jump on the band wagon, which can lead to wrong moves.

As a coach, my role is to help clients achieve their goals, providing ring-fenced and impartial time to focus on planning and action.

I am also there to calm the mind and to create space to think clearly, to bring out your authentic self and to manage the inner critic.

So, if it feels really noisy at the moment, take time to stop, to step back, organise your thoughts and to proceed with a new plan, at your own pace.

How to have a powerful start to 2026, and to maintain it, in easy steps

These models are game changers.

To achieve the results you are looking for, none of these experts are saying to give up the things you love or to work every hour possible.

These mind models help you become mindfully ultra proactive.

Here is my take on then:

1 - Recognise that you need to become uncomfortable to break out of your comfort zone to make the change you need to achieve the results you want.

2 - To become the person you want to be requires new lasting habits.

3 - Manage your inner critic and use the emotional responses as power to achieve.

2025 — what a year ✨

A year of luck?

💍
I got married!

Karen said yes and made me a very lucky man!

My son Billy was my best man — that was amazing!

In the same year, I celebrated Billy’s graduation. He was lucky enough to get a 1st!

In 2025, we spent two months living in Mallorca.

It’s not just the heat I love — it’s the daylight. Pure energy.

✈️
2025 was a year of travel highlights.

We visited LA, Malibu, West Hollywood, Palm Springs and Santa Monica.

We enjoyed a sound-bath meditation with a shaman in Joshua Tree.

We visited Portugal for work and play.

And the perfect finish: a honeymoon in the Maldives, where the people were as lovely as the views.

Health-wise, I stayed mostly illness-free. Luck?

Or a mainly pescatarian diet?

Or 102 gym sessions with

Or nearly 2,000km on the bike?

And I got to see Oasis at Wembley.

Professionally, 2025 was my biggest year yet.

I balance my work between advertising and mindful coaching.

Advertising delivered £8-figure results — almost equal to the last seven years combined.

Luck? Maybe not just luck…

Mindful coaching is a way of life for me.

It’s the reason these results exist.

It’s been a privilege supporting amazing clients who achieved incredible outcomes through effort, action and balance.

New experience alert

To he honest, this post is probably more of a share with men, but something women will understand.

I have just had a pedicure!

Mind blown.

When I say a pedicure, my wife has explained that it was more of a luxurious pedicure, overall foot maintenance and leg massage, all in one session. And as the amazing technician that handled the job said, it took a lot longer than usual, given the work needed! Given this is the first time my feet have experienced such luxury, I am surprised she didn’t bring in a support crew!

But what an experience.
90 mins of pure mindfulness.
My awareness completely taken to my feet and legs, no other thoughts, amazingly calming, energising and I have new feet!

This was as good for my mental health as it was for my feet and legs!

Notice how I have shared a photo of the spa, not my feet, even though they now look spectacular. However I have included a photo of me paddle boarding in shark infested waters 🤣

So, thoroughly recommended to all men and women. If you know, you know, but if you don’t, try it and enjoy the moment.
