You can’t achieve perfect alignment in one day,
so do not overexert your body in an attempt
to attain perfection in a pose if your body lacks
the necessary range of motion or if you don’t
have the required degree of flexibility.
This is why we, as yoga teachers, constantly
remind you to always listen to your body.

When you reach the limits of your flexibility,
approach them with compassion rather than
aggression.
How can you do this?
By surrendering into the pose and breathing
the stiffness away.
Slow and deep breaths are the key.
It’s a slow journey; it’s a work in progress.
