An Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL) certification session was conducted for athletes and officials preparing to represent the Maldives at the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
Participants from chess and pool billiards attended the session, which facilitated the completion of the relevant ADEL learning modules and certification requirements ahead of the Games.
The session was conducted in collaboration with the Maldives National Anti-Doping Agency (MANADA). The Games will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 13 to 21 December 2026.

Child Safeguarding Sessions continue in GA. Villingili, bringing together sports counsellors from across Huvadhoo Atoll as part of the Hashiheyo Programme organised by .
Through the sessions, participants are strengthening their understanding of the Child Safeguarding Policy jointly developed by and the Maldives Olympic Committee, while exploring their roles and responsibilities in identifying, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns and creating safer sporting environments for children.

An information session for athletes and officials of the Maldives contingent was held on 26 August 2026 at H. Boalhage in preparation for the upcoming Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

Maldives Olympic Committee President Mr. Mohamed Abdul Sattar and Secretary General Mr. Thamooh Ahmed Saeed attended the Executive Committee Meeting of the South Asian Olympic Council (SAOC), held in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 23 to 24 August 2026.
Hosted by the National Olympic Committee of Pakistan, the meeting reviewed the implementation of decisions taken at the previous SAOC Executive Committee Meeting held in Lahore on 25 February 2026 and discussed updates and preparations for the 14th South Asian Games 2027. The programme also included visits to the proposed competition venues for the Games.

The Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC), in collaboration with the National Institute of Education (NIE), conducted MOC’s first-ever Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) – Teacher Training Workshop today at Shaheed Ali School, with the participation of teachers from schools across Malé.
The programme was officially opened by Chief Guest Dr. Mahamood Shougee, Chancellor of the Maldives National University, who described OVEP as a bridge connecting the objectives of NIE and MOC. In his address, he highlighted how the Olympic values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship, together with the five OVEP educational themes, complement the values and principles of education.
The workshop was facilitated by MOC Director General Mohamed Jaushan Shareef and Mohamed Sharif. Through interactive sessions and practical activities, teachers explored the fundamentals of OVEP and ways of incorporating Olympic values into teaching and learning.

Day 2 in Kulhudhuffushi with was all about Safe Sport Day hosting a series of child safeguarding sessions with our young athletes. More than 85 incredible kids showed up, engaged, and made today truly special by their contribution.
