Some hold the ball with seam towards first slip and release the ball straight for out swing, with this you do not compromise full use of the last lever ie wrist and some keep the seam straight and use wrist to release for out swing, by this you compromise on the full use of the wrist lever. It’s vice versa for an in swing bowler ( seam facing leg slip) A lot depends on what you are comfortable at and looking to do. Today we played a practice match within our club.

ZMC XI vs TS XI

ZMC XI won the toss and elected to field first. TS XI put a handsome total of 164 at the end of 20 overs quota. Top scorer from TS XI was Al-Amin with 88 run in 36 balls. Sami has picked 4 wickets in his 4 overs by giving 28 runs.

In chase of 165 target, ZMC XI started a bit slow but opener Shafiq was standing on one end firmly and scored 108 run. Ulewllah was the successful bowler by taking 5 wickets in 4 overs by giving 33 runs. Specially last over when ZMC XI needed 2 runs to win, 3 wickets down by giving only 1 run including 1 run out.

The match was a Tie in the end.
