The participants of the Dance Competition held during the International Dance Day celebrations at the Indian Cultural Centre last month were felicitated by the Director, ICC, at a special event organised by the ICC students on May 21, 2026. Judged by a panel of Indian and Maldivian experts on choreography, concept, coordination and costume, the competition celebrated the passion and creativity of the young performers.

The evening also turned into an emotional farewell lovingly arranged by the students and teachers for the Director, ICC, as she prepares to leave the Maldives, leaving behind a Centre nurtured with affection, dedication, and care — a legacy that will continue to flourish not only within the classrooms, but everywhere ICC finds expression through art, culture, and community. The event was attended by Head of Chancery, High Commission of India, Maldives who has stepped in as Acting Director till the next incumbent joins.
