In the last weeks the number of tourists went down... The complete opposite with the wild life! Dolphins are thriving in the lagoon, sharks are very curious with the few divers, and you can forget to count the eagle rays! Hopefully all this story will be behind us, and you can join us soon for more diving! Rescue day today! In the afternoon, the Watersports Team of Rihiveli The Dream and the dive team we removed a total of 4 ghost nets around the resort, inside and outside the lagoon! In one of them was a baby Hawksbill Turtle, which was released. Good job!

We had a little suprise in Ranikan! This young female Reef Manta, named HPM, came and check our Instructor Charly while he was filming some reef fish! It's not manta seasson, but they are already here!

Petite surprise à Ranikan! Cette jeune femelle, appelée HPM, est venue inspecter nôtre moniteur Charly pendant qu'il filmait le récif du gros rocher. C'est pas la saison des Mantas encore, mais apparament elles sont déjà dans le coin!

🇫🇷 Un peu en re**rd, mais on était un peu occupé ces derniers jours..! On voulait remercier nôtre très chère et tendre Candice pour toutes les plongées qu'elle a fait avec nous! Candice a commencé de 0 avec nous, et a fini par faire son Open Water, Advance Open Water, Nitrox et DPV, en plus de 73 plongées! Merci Candice, on espère te revoir bientôt! Gros bisous de toute l'équipe!

We wanted to thank our beloved Candice for all the diving she has done during this year with us: Candice started from 0 and ended up doing her Open Water, Advance Open Water, Nitrox and DPV certifications with us! 🇬🇧 Lucky days in Rihiveli! Ranikan has been hosting manta shows lately! These 3 Mantas were enjoying their lunch in the blue yesterday morning! Glad to see that they are around! 🤩🤪
🇫🇷 Que du bonheur à Rihiveli! Hier matin nous avons eu la chance d'être tombé sur 3 mantas qui étaient en train de se regaler à Ranikan! Toujours un plaisir de les voir si proche du resort! 🤪🤩

🇫🇷 Saviez-vous que les coraux obtiennent 90% de leur nourriture grâce aux micro-algues dans leurs tissues? Les 10% restants proviennent de ce que les coraux mangent pendant la nuit: les coraux "s'ouvrent" pour manger, ressemblant à des petites anemones et se nourrissent de petits vers, crevettes et larves d'autres animaux qui passent proche d'eux. Cette vidéo a été prise la semaine dernière duran nôtre plongée de nuit sur l'Épave de Rihiveli, où vous pouvez voir les coraux en "fleur" durant la nuit! Des dizaines de poissons perroquet et de poissons chirurgiens y dorment, rendant ce site incroyable pour une plongée nocturne!

🇬🇧 Did you know that corals obtain 90% of their food thanks to the micro-algae inside their flesh? The other 10% comes from what corals can catch at night: they "open" themselves to feed, ressembling little anemones and try to catch tiny animals, like shrimps, worms and other animals larvaes. This video was taken on the Rihiveli Wreck during last week's night dive, where can see the corals feeding and the fish sleeping on it, making it a memorable night dive!

🇬🇧 We had a nice little surprise in Coral Garden 2 days ago! Just outside of the lagoon at 6m deep, Lucy spotted a sub-adult female Leopard Shark! We hope she will stay around and we will see her again!
