Mighty Be Forward Wanderers have breathed a sigh of relief after partnering with Salima Sugar Company for the rest of the season.

Details of the partnership, including the amount involved, remain sketchy but officials indicated that Salima Sugar is willing to fully sponsor Wanderers from next season.

Both Wanderers Chairperson Chancy Gondwe and Salima Sugar's Company Secretary Charles Thupi confirmed the development, saying the partnership would be unveiled soon.

Interestingly, Wanderers put up an impressive performance to defeat Kamuzu Barracks 2-0 at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday May 22, 2021

Mighty Wanderers attacking midfielder, Vitumbiko Kumwenda, is one of the outstanding players in the local top flight league, Tnm Super League.

In the just ended first round of TNM Super League, Kumwenda scooped 3-Man of the Match (MOTM) awards.

The Nomads midfielder was also voted as the best player in one of the weeks.

Vitumbiko Kumwenda is playing his debut season at Mighty Wanderers.
